2022 brought significant changes to Dolpheus. We moved from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area to the Greater Seattle area! Don’t worry, though, Texans – we’re there plenty often and are always eager to continue working with you! In fact, our business will retain its Texas registration.
Along with the move came some interesting new opportunities: A farm. Golden Point Farms, to be precise. It’s a place with a commercial greenhouse in which a successful species orchid business was once run, and where we will run a small research farm and market garden operation as we get the facilities and machinery overhauled to our specification. Some focus areas for research we have in mind:
- AI-driven species/cultivar recommendations
- AI-driven plant placement in the facility
- Cloud & Edge Compute for AI in Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
- AI-backed Aquaponics/Grow Media/Lighting design, planning, price modeling, and forecasting
As you can see, we have a lot of really cool plans for the coming years to help diversify the business, reach into novel areas, and do some good for the world. These are funded through several channels:

Continuing from last time’s personal notes, I’m pleased to announce another bunch of newly issued patents issued to me. As of today, that brings the total to 33 and with more always on the horizon. Special thanks to Plumsea for all their assistance in making this happen!
Partnerships
One of my goals for 2022 is to develop our partnerships with other firms – after all, together we’re greater than the sum of our parts! One of which is that we will be pursuing getting listed as a Hashicorp Partner.
Site Changes
Admittedly with my work at Microsoft, consulting work for Dolpheus, and taking time to be with family I’ve not been as vigilant about blog posts and site updates. I did end up launching hashicorpsentinel.com as a way to increase visibility and hopefully push more Hashicorp Sentinel specific content there so that this site might be more flexible – after all, Dolpheus does a lot more than Sentinel!
